Once More, With Feeling

June 2020

The current situation is allowing people to open up about their emotions; and the impact on our Mental Health (still very often a taboo).

Frustrations set in for many, with anxiety leading to anger; while others may look at things in a new light, with a different perspective, resulting in more acceptance.

What is remarkable, is the amount of togetherness right now. People being grateful to others for empathy, support and adaptation.

This makes us carry on and work even harder.

Throughout the days of Mental Health Awareness Week, I was delighted to receive comments thanking my team for our first ever Russell Bedford International web conference:

  • “Thanks very much for organising. It’s pleasing to see how adaptable our network has been through these times... it cements that we are in the right network, as the culture and mindset are the right fit.”
  • “Well done to the HQ Team - A big challenge, dealt with very well.”
  • “The effort that HQ put into a very difficult task was the best - allied to the attendance numbers.”
  • “Very good organisation of the head office... keeping us connected.”
  • “Big credit goes to our CEO and the central office team for putting in the work to this powerful and ideal network.”

Such positive expressions of feeling keep the mind healthy and especially proud!

It's important to show empathy to clients and gratitude to colleagues, not only at this current time, but at all times.
