CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Stephen Hamlet

As Chief Executive, Stephen assumes responsibility for developing Russell Bedford on a global scale, including maximising membership benefits, focusing on strengthening the network, at the same time as maintaining its high reputation of quality.

Stephen provides strategic direction to the International Board, applying leadership and communicating with various cultures, engaging with existing member firms across several countries. In facilitating cross-border cooperation, as well as ensuring Russell Bedford continues to expand by acquiring additional quality firms throughout the world, Stephen assists the network in increasing commerce for members and their clients.

NETWORK DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Kempton Bedell-Harper

Kempton is a marketing specialist with more than 30 years’ experience in the development and management of professional services organisations. He was responsible for business development and corporate communications in a global multi-discipline management and engineering consulting group before joining Russell Bedford International in 2000 as Marketing Director.

Having successfully developed and implemented the network’s branding and growth strategy, he has been instrumental in the transformation of Russell Bedford into a top-20 global player. Now, as Network Development Director, his focus is on further international network expansion and on events management.

Kempton is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He has an MA in Marketing, a Diploma in Marketing and a Diploma of the Communications Advertising and Marketing (CAM) Education Foundation.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Susan Barron

As Russell Bedford's marketing and communications representative, Susan is responsible for supporting members around the world so that they can achieve optimum results from their membership of this global network. As the network continues to expand its global presence at lightning speed, it is Susan's responsibility to ensure that members understand the marketing opportunities available to them and their responsibilities when using our branding by providing brand support and guidance network-wide. In support of our membership development activity and member retention, Susan manages all online marketing activity from web management to social media and PR. 

Susan ensures that members are receiving the value they expect when attending our conferences. She supports the planning and execution of multiple international conferences and events throughout the year, ensuring that our members' conference experience is positive, seamless and efficient from registration through to conference close.

MARKETING ASSISTANT
Clara Sanchez

Clara graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing from CEU San Pablo University in Madrid, Spain. She has almost two years of marketing experience in areas such as market research, brand management, public relations and business development working for a number of international companies.

As Russell Bedford's most recent recruit, Clara has already proven her enthusiasm for marketing the network through supporting the implementation of Russell Bedford's new branding and the rollout of the new website. Passionate about developing her career in international business, Clara will support the marketing team in improving the network's online presence and communicating with members and in particular, our Spanish speaking members.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Vanessa Clark

Vanessa is an administrative assistant for Russell Bedford. She is responsible for dealing with invoicing and managing the Audit Quality Control programme.

A long-standing employee of Russell Bedford, Vanessa is a familiar and respected member of the team who enjoys interacting with members and being connected to the wider world through the Russell Bedford network.

Outside of work, family life with two daughters keeps her very busy. 

AUDIT QUALITY CONSULTANT
Jim Sylph

Jim graduated as a Chartered Accountant in the north of England before moving to Canada in the late 1970’s. He is a qualified Corporate Director, based in Toronto, Canada. Jim was a partner in Moores Rowland, Canada and then Ernst & Young. 

In October 1999, Jim joined the International Federation of Accountants where he managed the operations of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and International Ethics Standards Board (IESBA) for 15 years. He has served as a member of the IFRS Advisory Council and Chairman of the International Oversight Council of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Jim became the RBI Audit Quality Consultant in July 2014. In this part-time role he designs and manages the annual AQ programme, selects and trains inspectors and reports to the RBI Board and the Forum of Firms on the overall audit quality of the RBI members. He is currently the Chair of the Canadian Auditing and Accountability Foundation. CAAF is dedicated to advancing public sector performance audit, oversight, and accountability in Canada and abroad. He is also a consultant providing advice on audit reporting implementation to IAASB.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Andreea Clinci

Andreea is a Research Assistant for Russell Bedford International.

She joined Russell Bedford as an intern on a placement year as part of her Business Management Degree at the University of Kent.

Andreea chose Russell Bedford to aid her in completing her placement year and gain experience from working for a well-established global network which she hopes will help her to strengthen her skills, experience and understanding of international business and prepare her for furthering her chosen career path after graduation.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Esther Colomer

Esther is a third-year student at the University of Valencia, in Spain and is a member of the TransAtlantic Business School Alliance (TABSA). The program allows International Business students to receive a truly international education by studying two years abroad in one of the partner institutions, after having previously completed two intensive years at their home business school.

In September 2017, Esther moved to Hatfield to study at the University of Hertfordshire (UK). She joined Russell Bedford International in January 2018 as part of her course plan because, in her own words, “Russell Bedford provided me with the opportunity to learn from a global perspective due to its international character and its experience with over 30 years in operation. Moreover, the company appealed me because I believed that being Spanish speaker would be an advantage in a company with high presence in Spanish speaking countries, offering me the possibility to participate more deeply in its daily business activities”.
