I’d like to spin that around....
We are now being forced physically AWAY from our colleagues, our friends and, in some cases, our families. We are all starting to work remotely (indefinitely!) and this can have a serious impact on our state of mind and mental health.
The phrase “social distancing” has now become commonplace, which goes against everything I stand for; leading an international network, encouraging interaction, face to face meetings and constant building of relations.
So... we must adapt.
Russell Bedford has launched a new platform on our intranet dedicated to COVID-19; for guidance, regular updates from around the world, and a forum for members to share their concerns, ideas and suggested solutions to the challenges we are now facing. We encourage all to freely discuss how they are tackling such issues during this difficult period; and to generally chat about their experiences, as a business and as an individual.
It’s important to stick together (virtually, of course!) and, although we cannot physically meet right now, the togetherness of a global network is even more important than ever before.
You may be more alone, but you know that don’t mean you should feel LONELY.
