Russell Bedford firm Kab to merge with Stolp

Kab West Accountants and Belastingadviseurs, a member firm of international professional services group Russell Bedford, will double in size following its planned merger with Stolp Adviseurs en Accountants. The merger will take effect from 1 January 2016, creating a full-service accounting, audit and tax and legal advisory firm with eight principals and around 90 staff. The combined firm will have its main regional offices at Roelofarendsveen (Amsterdam/Schiphol) and Voorburg (The Hague), with branches in Barendrecht, Gouda/Rotterdam and Zoeterwoude. The name of the new firm will be STOLP + KAB Adviseurs en Accountants.

Kab West has its origins in a practice founded in the 1940s, and offers accounting and tax compliance, audit, tax consulting, legal and business advice to a client base of predominantly medium-sized businesses, covering a wide spectrum of industrial sectors. Kab West has been the Netherlands member of Russell Bedford International since 2006.Stolp has a 75-year history of advising local and national small and medium-sized businesses, providing auditing, business consulting, tax planning, payroll and business start-up advice.

In a joint statement, Kab West chairman Michaël Peffer and Stolp chairman Michiel Polman said: "Our two boards have been in discussion on potential opportunities for cooperation for some time. We believe our firms are a perfect match as regards vision, people and culture, and reinforce each other in terms of knowledge and experience. By combining our forces, we are well prepared for the future in the changing auditing and advisory market."
